Where this data comes from
Every figure on this site is traceable. If a number here cannot be checked, it should not be here.
Sponsor filings
Parsed from SEC Form D, the notice a sponsor files after selling securities under Regulation D. Public record. We hold 61,983 filings and publish 46,914 of them — a filing is only published if it carries a plausible date and a real amount, because a page that restates nothing is worth nothing.
Amounts are as filed. "Sought" is the total offering amount, "sold" is the amount reported sold at the date of filing. Neither is audited by us or by the SEC.
Allocator mandates
We hold 13,538 allocator profiles, of which 3,629 carry enough structure to match against a deal — position, market, strategy and, where stated, cheque size. Sourced from public statements, filings, and firms' own published criteria.
On cheque sizes, plainly: only 128 carry a figure the firm itself stated. Most firms never publish one. Where a range is shown without that confirmation it is inferred, it is labelled as such internally, and it never counts against a match. We would rather show you a firm with an unknown cheque size than pretend to a number.
How current it is
Filings refresh from EDGAR. Mandates are re-read on a rolling basis and every profile carries the date it was last read. A mandate is true for about a quarter, which is why the refresh matters more than the size of the list.
What we do not claim
We are not a broker-dealer. We do not offer securities, we do not verify the merits of any raise, and a firm appearing here is not an endorsement. Identities of allocators are withheld until they choose to engage with a specific deal.
